The charter for this international network of cities was signed on July 31, 1992. The network consists of 15 regional capitals from 12 countries interested in pursuing international trade. The SESAME network cities are:

These cities offer ongoing business matching, welcome delegations from member cities and provide internships for students. They organize the annual International SESAME Exchange (ISE), a 3-day symposium during which hundreds of private companies meet for one-on-one business meetings.

The main focus of the ISE is the business matching process. The International SESAME Exchange brings together hundreds of representatives of businesses, government and educational institutions from over a dozen countries. Whether you are looking for an agent, partner, distributor, raw materials, customer, technology or a joint venture, you will have the opportunity to meet with companies and organizations from all member cities.
